canon tdi
what Canon SLR should i get?
Hi
I´m looking at the Xsi 12 MP and the Tdi 15 MP.
I have never owned a reflex before, but I have an eye for photgraphy I´ll know Iñll be good at it.
The kits I was interested cost around $900 to $1050, depending on the lenses.
Should I get a 12mp with good lenses (Canon 18-55, 50, and 70-300 mm)
or
the 15mp with a Canon 18-55, 50 mm, and a Tamron 70-300 ?
How important are the lens for a beginner? Should i get the 15mp and later think of upgrading the lens? How much better are Canon lenses? I wouldn´t want the Tamron lens to break on me within a year or two, either investment is for me a long-term affair.

I personally would go with the T1i… the only difference between lenses is 70-300mm Canon vs Tamron… surely the Canon lens is better, but I wouldn’t say that it’s better by a wide margin… if you get into it, you will outgrow both of the lenses fairly soon and would probably want a better telephoto lens soon enough… I would initially go with the cheaper option in Tamron and upgrade whenever you outgrow the lens… just learn on the cheaper stuff, and upgrade when you develop your own style… you still get 2 good lenses in the 18-55 and the 50…
the T1i might last you a bit longer than the XSi though I believe as it has a number of better features…
